what was the experience of your first Baptiste class?

I had never sweat so much in my life! My first Baptiste class was with Brandon Compagnone in Northampton Massachusettes. I remember focusing my gaze on the window in front of me while a mixture of tears and sweat ran down my face while in tree pose. I felt awake, alive, rinsed out, stretched out, and connected in to my body, the teacher, and the people in the room. I knew immediately that Baptiste Yoga was the practice, and community for me.

what was the experience of your first Baptiste class?

I was recovering from foot surgery and turned to yoga as a means to move my body. The class was hot and challenging.   I had to modify a lot of poses but the class sparked something deep inside of me, despite the sweat pouring out of my body.  I was so empowered listening to the teacher’s words that I that I immediately went home to research who Baron Baptiste was and learn more about Baptiste Yoga.  There was a 40 Day on line program starting which I signed up for and this was the beginning of my yoga journey.

what was the experience of your first Baptiste class?

I struggled and could barely hold downward facing dog for more than a breathe or two.  I left with sweat dripping from my body and for the first time in a very long time, felt more connected to myself.  I knew in that moment, I wanted more.

what was the experience of your first Baptiste class?

My first Baptiste class was my first day of 40 Days to Personal Revolution. My husband and I had taken a couple of beginner classes with Jess when she announced that she, Tanya, and Sheryl would be leading 40 Days within a couple of weeks time. After a two exchange conversation of “do you wanna?” and “sure” we signed up and have never looked back.
